Submissions are now being invited for the “Shout” lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer cultural festival in Birmingham, England in November 2009.

I do enjoy my friend Chris sending me little email reports about his working life on the Leeds University campus.
Sometimes there’s a note of frustration to his email.

@crispeater emailed me this morning to say that Leeds University staff had held a photographic competition, they hold a staff festival every year- not sure they’ve got the weather for it this year. Chris said ”I think entrants and voters alike may have confused equality with contrast and change here. Or else just been remarkably patronising”
