One of the greenbelt book club books is Walden by Henry David Thoreau.
Here’s where I wrote about it: http://www.greenbelt.org.uk/blog/2009/04/passionate-about-books-seeks-similar/

I’ll let you know how it goes.
You can [...]

On Saturday I gave a talk at wxwm about story telling & how we tell stories online.
(I also talked about cake, death & clouds)
I thought I’d give a reading list of stuff that got me to where I was on Saturday evening. Some of it I talked about, some of it passed through my brain [...]

I’ve forgotten what number I’m at.
And this is something that doesn’t have video or music to listen to.
You’ll have to take it on faith.
The final scene from series four of Doctor Who where Bernard Cribbins tells David Tennant he’ll be looking at the skies with Sigur Ros’ Hoppípolla playing in the background.
It pulled tears from [...]

Here’s some assorted thoughts on various ARG’s or not-ARG’s I’ve been playing that I shared at BARG. This post is quite linkalicious be careful as some of the links take you directly into the heart of some of the games.
I’ve been playing these online/offline imaginary/real world experiences for the last ten years or so. I’ve [...]

Mustn’t cry.
Mustn’t cry.
I know this ad is everywhere at the moment but this is brilliant.
I love it.
I love that it got organised without it spilling everywhere and I love that people who aren’t part of it join in.

This made me laugh like a drain.
Maybe it’s a “living in Birmingham” thing for people to take the mick out of Deirdre, so many people seem to do it. Or maybe it’s just the Brum Bloggers…

I bought a DVD on Saturday.
(It’s a thing I try to do an a regular basis)
There was a little note inside from the trading standards people and the anti-piracy people, fact.
The front says “Thank you for doing the right thing by buying this genuine DVD“.
Ok, fair enough, I think.
Turn it over and there’s a disk [...]
