Marks in Time competition or “Best of a bad bunch wins”.

I do enjoy my friend Chris sending me little email reports about his working life on the Leeds University campus.

Sometimes there’s a note of frustration to his email.

There was a definite tone of “I could have done better” to the email today regarding this competition run to mark the Marks & Spencer exhibition on Leeds Uni campus.

The three “winners” are clearly the best of a bad bunch. That noise you can hear as you read the winners is the noise of a barell being clawed at by the nails of a desperate communications team member. I imagine they were picking pieces of barrel out of their nails for a few days after.

This is the brief:

As Marks & Spencer is celebrating its 125th year, tell us in no more than 50 words why you believe Marks & Spencer has stood the test of time?

Feel free to submit your own offerings at the bottom. The best submission wins a specially selected prize by me. Good luck!
