Councillor Whitehouse

This morning Telford and Wrekin announced the statement of persons nominated in the parish elections.

There’s a number of exciting races with multiple candidates and others where, sadly, no one is standing at all.

In Lightmoor (which is in The Gorge parish and not in Dawley Hamlets) there were three candidates for three vacancies. It’s an uncontested ballot which means that all three candidates, Michael Mackenzie, Rev Keith Osmund-Smith and myself are automatically elected to the parish council.

It’s very exciting to be part of the parish council and I look forward to working with the other councillors on the issues that come up and serving our communities.
