As part of my role on the Gorge Parish Council I’m closely involved with the organisation of the Christmas Lights Switch on in Ironbridge.
For the next full parish council meeting (18th December 2012) I’m writing a report that will make a series of suggestions regarding the partnership that makes up the Christmas Lights Partnership. I don’t just want to present the ideas I have and am looking for input from people.
I’m keenly aware that some local residents and traders aren’t happy the event was scaled back this year, that doesn’t need repeating or going over again here.
What I’m looking for are thoughts/suggestions around:
– Level of resident involvement in the partnership.
– Sponsorship opportunities.
– Charity Partner.
– Membership of the Christmas Lights Partnership (who should be on it, how often should it meet etc)
